What are PowerSchool and SchoolFusion?
PowerSchool is our student information system. Teachers and administrators use PowerSchool to enter information about students including grades, schedule, and attendance. SchoolFusion is our District’s web site (www.aspenk12.net) where you can find information about upcoming school events, athletics, pay online fees, and see what’s going on in your student’s classrooms. Historically, as parents you have logged into PowerSchool in order to retrieve grade, schedule and attendance information, but starting this year your only interaction with PowerSchool will be the online re-registration process and if you are a High School parent, to sign your student up for athletics. For grades, schedules, attendance and upcoming homework assignments you will only need to log into District’s SchoolFusion web site (www.aspenk12.net).
I’m not sure if I have an account set-up with SchoolFusion. How can I tell if I do?
If your student was in the Aspen School District last year, then chances are you already have an account set-up. Try entering a username and password (in the upper right-hand of the screen) that you may have used for the site previously. If the username and password do not work, you’ll be prompted to enter your email address in order to recover your username and password. If SchoolFusion does not have an account registered with the email address you entered, then you will need to create a new account. Please review the next question for instructions on how to create a new account.
I don’t have an account set-up in SchoolFusion. How do I create one?
You’ll need to contact the front office of the building your student is enrolled in to obtain your student’s Unique Identifier. Once you have you have this, you can go to the District’s home page (www.aspenk12.net) and look for the link on the left titled ‘SchoolFusion Parent Registration’. How do I check my student’s grades and attendance this year?
All student grades and attendance will be available in SchoolFusion this year. You will no longer need to log into PowerSchool to find this information. To access School Fusion, go to our District web site (www.aspenk12.net) and log in with your SchoolFusion username and password. Once you are logged in, scroll the page down and look for the link on the left titled ‘My Family’. Click on this link to pull up a listing of all of your student’s enrollments. In addition to links to their classroom pages, you’ll find links to view their grades, schedules, attendance, and upcoming homework assignments. We’ve tried to consolidate all of this key information into one location for you so that you wouldn’t need to go to multiple places to find it.
